A few more short updates including video while I have free internet!

Before the train ride we did make it up to see the meteor crater and to Winslow where we found the man standing on the corner and a nice little car show.

Then we found the front end to my old car on the wall of the brewery in Williams! ha That's about all it was good for!

Williams, AZ was the last town bypassed when I-40 went in. It's a cute little town and apparently was really going downhill until the owners of the Grand Canyon railroad purchased the railroad and the town came back to life.

We tried to ride to the top of Bill Williams mountain where there is a lookout but met this guy on the road. I took a few pics and we turned around. It was fun while it lasted!! 

This was the results of the road grader on our way down. I was glad we went down instead of up! I'm hopeful that this video works, it's the first time I've tried adding one.

Lots of pics and catching up.

We had high hopes of riding to Kings Canyon today and instead got hopelessly lost in Madera, CA. I finally took it as a sign to come back and get the rig ready to roll in the morning.

The Horizons Unlimited meeting has come and gone. We had a great time, met some very nice people, learned lots and got inspired to keep exploring. I was happy to meet up with The Adventure Trio again to say goodbye and give/get a hug from Sandy and Terry Borden, 2 out 3 of the Adventure Trio, the third being their son Jack. This couple is so genuinely nice it's a joy to have met them at the Touratech rally and get to see them off on their South America journey. I didn't get many photos at the meeting due to the fact I was busy taking in all of the info. I could get. We did win a great prize at the raffle. It wasn't the motostays coffee but a nice Enduristan dry bag - one can not have too many dry bags! 

We leave for Needles, CA bright and early. 

OK, so on our way to Needles driving through the desert we stopped to fuel up. We opened up MARV to use the bathroom and I noticed my bike leaning over to the right. Oh Oh.....we got back there and it had fallen over and JUST missed breaking one of the back windows. So, we adjusted the tie downs etc. etc. and crisis was diverted. We arrived here at The Palms RV park. I had been waiting to do laundry until we got here so we packed up the laundry got our suits on and headed to the pool. I got out to scout the laundry facility before unloading and could not find it anywhere. We then tried the pool and hot tub. Pool was freezing cold and one of the hot tubs was half full and the other was luke warm. Bummer. 

We are off today to Bullhead City to get some more tie downs, drinking water and maybe jump into a casino or two while we are there. Tomorrow we will head out bright and early to find some gravel roads that a guy on ADV rider posted. We have to go early to be back by the time the mid day heat arrives.

The ride was good even though my GPS skills are lacking. Just a little gravel but great scenery and we made it back to MARV by 11!

We decided to leave Needles a day early and yesterday landed in Williams, AZ where we will stay for the next 4 nights. It's beautiful here so far, temps in the mid 70's during the day and down into the 30's at night, lots of green trees and mountains. We have the next three days to ride and then will take the train to the Grand Canyon with all of the other tourists for Jay's 60th birthday. There are a lot of things to see around here so I better get Jay out of bed and ready to ride!!

Lots of pics from our ride to the Grand Canyon. The train ride on Jays birthday was fun, there were cowboys singing, bandits robbing the train, champagne and a fun few hours at the park. We are really enjoying this part of Arizona. I'm sure we will be back!

We have 2 more days here. It's rained today and suppose to rain tomorrow so we've been getting some stuff done around the RV that needed to be done. We are hoping to get one more ride in on Friday then we head to New Mexico on Saturday.
